Your documents never leave your device. SS PDF has no accounts, no advertising
and no analytics. It does not upload your files, does not send them to us, and does not send
them to anyone else. There is no server that receives your data, because there is nothing for
it to receive.

Two things are worth calling out plainly:
Saved PDF passwords are stored in plain text. They are inside the app's
private storage, which other apps cannot read on a non-rooted device, but they are not
encrypted. If that is a concern for a particular document, decline to save its password.
Crash reports never leave your device. The app records crashes to a local
file. No upload endpoint is configured and no send dialog is shown.
What SS PDF does not do
No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no ad networks.
No analytics, telemetry, usage tracking or behavioural profiling.
No accounts and no sign-up.
No sale or sharing of personal information with anyone.
No access to your contacts, location, microphone, camera or call data.
Network access
SS PDF only uses the network when you ask it to.
Opening a PDF from a link. The app downloads the file from the address you
gave it. The request goes to that server and nowhere else.
Google Drive (optional). If you choose to connect Google Drive, SS PDF
requests read-only access so it can list your files and open the one you pick. It never
modifies, deletes or uploads anything, and it never copies your Drive contents anywhere
except onto your own device so the file can be displayed. Sign-in is handled by Google;
SS PDF never sees your Google password. You can disconnect at any time from inside the app,
and revoke access entirely at
myaccount.google.com/permissions.
OCR language models. Text recognition runs on your device. For some
languages the model is delivered by Google Play services, which may download it the first
time you use that language. The pages themselves are never uploaded — recognition happens
locally.
Files on your device
SS PDF does not request all-files access. It builds your library from:
the PDFs your device's media index already knows about, and
any folder you explicitly hand over through the Android folder picker.
You can revoke a folder at any time in Android's settings. Individual files you open through
the system file picker are read only for as long as you have them open.

SS PDF is a general-purpose document reader. It does not knowingly collect personal
information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
Decline to save a PDF password.
Disconnect Google Drive, or never connect it.
Revoke a granted folder in Android's settings.
Clear the app's data, or uninstall it, to remove everything described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new
"last updated" date.
